Opening Hours

We're a term-time nursey, offering care during the academic year. 

We offer morning nursery sessions for all pupils. Our core hours are every day from Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 11.45am. We offer extended hours to 2.45 pm for those families who are eligible for 30 hours provision.

In addition, parents can choose to extend hours to 3.15pm for a small charge.

If you are eligible for 30 hours free childcare you will need to provide the school with a voucher code from HMRC. If you are not eligible for free childcare we can still offer extended hours at a reasonable chargeable rate.

Pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan

The admission of pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan is dealt with by a separate procedure. Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan that names the school will be admitted. Where this takes place before the allocation of places under these arrangements this will reduce the number of places available to other children. In-year applications

An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. If you wish to make an application for an in-year place, please contact the School Business Manager (SBM), St Thomas More School, Highfield, Letchworth Garden City, Herts, SG6 3QB. The SBM will advise parents how to proceed with an application.

Where there are places available but more applications than places, the published oversubscription criteria, as set out above, will be applied.
